How to Navigate Trends Without Losing YOU

“Be faithful to your own taste because nothing you really like is ever out of style.”
Billy Baldwin

I couldn’t agree more. Trends will come and go, but your personal style? That never goes out of fashion.

In a world where we’re constantly bombarded with what’s “in,” it’s easy to feel pressure to follow the crowd. But here's the truth: comparison steals creativity. The most beautiful spaces are the ones that reflect you, your taste, your story, your lifestyle.

When I design, I don’t chase trends. In fact, I can honestly say I’ve never designed a home that was a carbon copy of the current moment. Why? Because every space I create is tailored to the unique identity of the individual, family, or business I’m working with.

That doesn’t mean trends aren’t useful, they can be wonderful tools to spark ideas. A certain color palette, material, or shape might resonate with you, and that’s where the magic begins. But instead of copying a look, we layer those elements into something completely your own.

A good interior designer doesn't just recreate what you saw on Pinterest. They take what you love and transform it into something even better, something that feels just right for you.
